Robert E. “Bobby” Jones Jr.
Founder/Lead Advisor
After 11 successful years in the private club and resort management business, with the final 7 years being in resort real estate, Bobby and his family chose to place roots in Western North Carolina, which required a career change. Having joined The Palmer Group family as a client in 2007, it was an easy decision to join the team professionally when asked by Jeff Palmer in 2008. Under Jeff’s tutelage, Bobby gained his financial planner designation and began receiving recognition for his successes. In 2014, Bobby established his own practice, Edwin Yeates Financial Services.
Bobby has been a qualifying member of the “Million Dollar Round Table*” (an industry organization promoting excellence and the highest of ethical standards in the financial services industry) and a member of the Financial Planning Association, and he is currently enrolled in the required classes to obtain his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification. Further, he attends several annual educational meetings that enable him to continue growing the knowledge he has to offer clients.
Bobby grew up on Lookout Mountain in Tennessee and attended the Baylor School before graduating from the University of South Carolina with a degree in business administration/marketing. He is married to Avery and they have two boys, Thompson and William. When not in the office, Bobby enjoys both mountain and road biking, fly-fishing, and spending time with family. He has also led several financial literacy classes in the past.
